Amanda
Zielinski is a veterinary assistant and our inventory
manager at My Pet’s Vet. She previously worked in
Brookfield for three
years as a veterinary assistant. Amanda is skilled in many
areas of veterinary medicine, including: dental cleanings,
surgery assisting, examination assisting, laboratory work,
radiographs, and patient care. She has many years of knowledge
and especially loves working with radiographs (x-rays) and
learning new techniques every year at veterinary technician
conferences. She is currently studying to take her exam
to become a certified veterinary technician. We are very
proud of her!
Amanda has three pets. Joshua is a husky
mix that she rescued from the Wisconsin Humane Society in 2004. He
is a bit of a velcro-dog who loves his "mom" dearly. Jordi is
a domestic shorthair cat that was another adoption from the
Wisconsin Humane Society. George is Amanda's newest cat.
He was
brought into her workplace in Brookfield. A concerned citizen
noticed him running around the neighborhood with a strange
looking object around his body. He caught George and
brought him in for an examination. The culprit was a flea
collar that had slipped off of his neck, over his front legs, and was
slid down to the middle of his body. The collar had become deeply embedded in his
flesh. Surgery was required to remove it and save his
life. Afterwards, Amanda decided to take him home with
plans on finding him a good home when he became well. He
never left! She fell in love with him and they have
been happily living together ever after since.
The newest addition to Amanda's family is
her adopted Holland Lop bunny named Cadburry. He is quite
a character and enjoys playing with her dog and cats as well as
watching TV with Amanda. He really is a lovable little
guy! Amanda also has
a horse named Chance that she rides as often as she can.

Emily Lewandowski is the Office Manager at My Pet's
Vet. Emily has worked in the field of Veterinary Medicine since
2000, as a receptionist for one year, then as a veterinary
assistant. She has worked at primary care veterinary hospitals
in Brookfield and Glendale, as well as the Animal Emergency
Center as an Intensive Care Nurse.
Emily currently has two pets- three if you include her husband!
Isabel is a grey tabby who has been her best friend for the past
thirteen years, and who has promised to be around for at least
thirteen more! Emily adopted her from the Dane County Humane
Society after she was surrendered by her owner for hunting birds
outside. She now lives strictly indoors and only watches birds
through the window and on her Cat Sitter video.
Lily is a Longhair Miniature Dachshund. Emily adopted Lily when
her previous owner suffered a debilitating illness and could no
longer live in her home with Lily. Adopting pets from a clinic
through which you are employed is a workplace hazard! Lily has
been a wonderful, if noisy, addition to the family ever since.
She takes her chipmunk patrol job very seriously, chasing them
into downspouts, but not having the inclination to actually hurt
one. Lily wags with her entire body and wants to be friends with
everyone, but at heart is something of a Daddy’s Girl.
Emily’s has a wonderful personality, vast knowledge and great
customer service skills! |
